Personalized desert adventures
Let us lead you into the wild areas of Joshua Tree national park. We offer adventures, hikes, and experiences for all people regardless of fitness and experience. Tours can be half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hrs). All of our trips are custom and private. This allows us to give you various options to choose from as the hike progresses. Also, we are passionate about sharing our knowledge of the desert. On all of our tours, we will share with you fascinating natural history facts, geological concepts, curious histories, and tales of local legends and lore. We will also help identify any plants or animals that cross our path along the way. At the end of the day, you will have a broader understanding of the scenic and memories of an otherworldly desert landscape that we help you navigate. We love to help visitors make the most of their trip and create special memories.
The Wonderland of Rocks: Our Favorite Hike
The Wonderland of Rocks. In my opinion, The Wonderland is the most scenic and inspiring landscape of Joshua Tree. I love taking people there and it is my most popular tour. The Wonderland of Rocks consists of 12 square miles of massive jumbled boulders and rock formations. The Wonderland’s boulder-strewn canyons and maze-like passages create unique scenery and offer a sense of solitude. With many route options from challenging summit scrambles to valley floor trails, we will help you find the path that is right for your group.
All of our tours are customized for your group. We have adventures for all levels of hikers and explorers. Our specialty is creating incredible adventures at just the right level. Very often people tell us that they never would have known about Wonderland much less confidently explore alone without expertise.
Other Hikes and Adventures
QUEEN MOUNTAIN
Hike to the summit of Queen Mountain (5680ft), the National Park’s second highest peak. We follow a light path up the southern slopes of the mountain through cactus gardens and unique boulders. If we are lucky we might spot Bighorn sheep hiding in the pinyon pines and bouldery clifftops. The summit offers a striking 360 degree view that encompasses much of the national park and beyond. (on clear days, one can see mountains in Nevada along with the majority of the national park).
ROADSIDE/SCENIC TOURS
If you want to see multiple areas in Joshua Tree national park with minimal/less hiking, we will combine visits to multiple areas and points of interest into a tour. As we travel from spot to spot we will start to see the diversity of the landscape and ecosystems within the National Park. As always we will prioritize scenery and solitude while educating your group about the desert landscape of Joshua Tree.
